WHAT READERS ARE SAYING
I just had to write and thank you so much for putting
your heart,
thoughts, encouragement, wisdom and your personal journey you've
taken
in this wacky music biz in your wonderful book "Just Get Out
There". I
have been singing professionally since I was 7 and have done
just about
everything from Command performances in South Africa at age 8 to
acoustic gigs at "Starbucks" and every other hole in the wall in
Los
Angeles. Just to read your stories It was as If I was reading
my own
story and I got great comfort from knowing that I was not alone
on
this sometimes crazy very lonely path. It takes another artist
who is
getting out there to really understand what we go through and it
was
just the loveliest and most inspiring read in a long time that I
had to
write some words and tell you so. I hope our paths will cross at
some
point on the music highway as I would love to thank you in
person sincerely for championing all the indie artists out there
in such
a profound and wonderful way!! Cheers to you Gilli and I wish
you a
continued stellar ride on this wonderful star ship we call
Creativity,
see you out there!!!

As a fan of independent music being involved in presenting live music I enjoy reading Gilli's book so much. I think over here in old Germany we don't have a developed "culture" of being an artist in your own responsibility, so the strategies and tactics in the book are a great enrichment. Love the music too, of course
dierk :-)
Dear Gilli!
I've been thinking about writing to you for a very long time because your book has been such a powerful tool for me for several years. I've been the typical struggling artist for many years and I've read so many books about the music industry and many of these has given me the knowledge to move my career in the right direction. But as a solo artist living in a small town in Sweden there's very few artists around to talk to and regain lost inspiration. Your book has been such a "friend". A wonderful source of wisdom and inspiration. I thank the book for being a big part of my record deal with a US-label and the success I've had over the last few years. So Gilli!, THANK YOU! Good luck with your career!

I just finished reading your book “I Am a Professional Artist” and I absolutely loved it! A lot of what you wrote really struck a chord with me, and I was actually going through a 2-week Anthony Robbins program at the same time, so it was a great combination :) Dave Cool - Stand Alone Records
Thank you to you for writing such a wonderful and inspiring book, "I am a Professional Artist." It is because of your book that I was able to put my fears and doubts aside, finish my CD myself, and take the show on the road. I found it to be very well written and chock full of useful information that I could start applying immediately. All the best, Setra
I want to Thank You for your wonderful "I AM a Professional Artist" book, which I've been reading lately & is Full of Great Inspirational Stuff!
My name is Eddie Felker. We met at the NEMO conference in Boston this fall. I picked up your book and I really love it. I'm gearing up to do a real CD, and "I am a professional artist" has really inspired me to look at things differently and with real hope.
I am already I am recommending it to fellow artists. - Eddie
..."I found it to be a work of inspiring, practical, no-bullshit, fair dinkum advice. The chapter dealing with "Get a Job" prompted an intense discussion between the husband and I resulting in him going for a job he wouldn’t have normally considered... I expect, just writing your book, has been hugely cathartic and enlightening for you. I found it fab!" Jodie Harrison
The book seems to have come at a very good time for me... your powerful optimism and sincerity are very uplifting for me. "You have to want it bad enough to get up out of bed". I really agree with that totally.
I read your book in a day and I am going through it again, slowly... soaking up the details. The book is stimulating, refreshing yet challenging ... It is a great companion book to The Artists Way. It is giving me 'new insights' for changing my world. which is AWESOME! Thank-you so much for being REAL and sharing your thoughts , beliefs and wisdom. Carly
"I just wanted to drop you a note because I read something fantastic this weekend...your book! I'm just sorry I wasn't able to get to it earlier! You have a wonderful and inspiring message peppered with little gems throughout, and it was a pleasure to read! I am definitely inspired" - Happy Holidays, Danica L. Mathes, Esq
"Wanted you to know that I love your book and cd. I will probably buy more of them as gifts for friends. I started reading your book last night! It is awesome. I subscribe to the philosophies and belief systems that you have in the book, and I have been trying to do the same thing myself in my life. I work at home as a freelance computer consultant, while I am pursuing my music career. I also have interests in healing modalities. I am a Reiki practitioner, as well as I do some energy psychology healing with traumas and phobias, etc. My problem I have been having is the time-management. I usually end up on my computer way too long, and don't get to the writing end of things since I am doing the business end of music as well. It is hard for me to get the balance right. I am still working on getting that balance. I am still challenged with making work fun. So there are a few things I am working on right now. Your book is going to help me with this as I can tell already. I am hoping that when I meet you perhaps you will lend me some tips just from getting to know how you handle your life. It seems that you are very on top of it, and I am amazed at all your accomplishments. Diane Falcone"
".. I have been reading your book and I love it. Your strategies and your approach to life is very similar to those of mine. I'm more of a student of life kind of person you discussed, sucking in info, and self growth, we'll for now anyway. As a reader I enjoyed, and appreciated the assertive manner in which you expressed your ideas. I tend to get frustrated and a bit (o.k. alot) bored if people crap on for too long. Patience, now there's a thought maybe I should work on that, he he. Anyway, it was good to get to know you better through your book. But on the more serious side it helped me pin point a few emotional issues in particular that have been a bit of a struggle lately, .. Just needed some personal maintenance and rejuvenating. Anyway thanks for giving me personal reference guide to take along the ride. See ya, Bel"
..."Excellent Book! I read this book from cover to cover the day it arrived. It is very informative and motivational. Gilli Moon is an excellent example to follow when it comes to being an independent artist. I would highly recommend this book to anyone interested in a professional career in the arts." Melissa M Williams, Orange County CA
... "Gilli's book helped me define my goals and what success and dreams and visions mean to me as well as art and business. I love and enjoy making mine and others dreams come true! An encourager of faith and dreams is what I will continue to strive for! Dream the IMPOSSIBLE!" Nicholis Washburn
..." This couldn't have come at a better time in my creative growth. I'm experiencing some serious writer's block and really appreciate the love and support you express in this message. Your generosity of spirit is truly appreciated." Lexie Col
